nds_blazeThis next product is designed for those who just can’t wait to play the next NDS game. In fact, it is for those who have the short attention span of a channel surfer, who are ready to flip to the next game with a flick of a switch.

The Blaze Game Selector from Superfo is designed to hold three game cartridges, and it affixes to the back of the top screen.

Those that enjoy seeing the inside of their gadgets are going to love this new kit for the Nintendo DSi. It coats your DSi in a bright candy color and keeps things nice and clear. It’s far more interesting than just slapping a skin on the outside and a little easier than attempting to create a clear case that will show the insides of it all on your own.

Ball that measures how Far it was thrown

February 26th, 2007 by Al in Football Gadgets, Sport

This is a cool idea, a football (American) that can measure and display how far it has been thrown, so next time you throw a great touch down pass you can brag about the distance accurately (rather than saying it went really really far).
Known as the Virtual Distance Football, the distance thrown is calculated by using sensors to detect when the ball is thrown and then the impact of a catch or fumble (though how it knows the distance between the two is beyond me).
The virtual distance football is available from Discovery for $19.95.

PlayStation Eye will know your face and gender

July 20th, 2009 by Mark R in Digital Cameras, Gaming Gadgets, Photography
Every once in a while, some new video game technology is released that could change the way games could be played. We’ve already seen the announcement from Microsoft with their Project Natal, and Sony is chiming in with its own great advancement. Sony has recently announced that the PlayStation Eye webcam is going to have face-recognition technology as well as gender recognition technology.
I believe that we have already covered gender-recognition technology before, and Kish Hirani, Sony Europe’s head of developer services, says that it can “detect gender and even the age of the face, separate facial features such as the nose, eyes, and ears, and even detect whether you’re smiling or not”.

Nintendo Mini Classics

July 25th, 2009 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets, Gaming Gadgets
For many of us who grew up on a steady diet of Mario and the NES, it can be pretty hard to let go of such gaming icons and move on to other less established franchises on other consoles. Good thing Nintendo have done well to maintain their goodwill with fans by offering memorable titles over the years regardless of the advancement in console technology, and this time round they’ve outdone themselves by merging two classics - old Game & Watch characters alongside the faithful Game Boy in the form of the Nintendo Mini Classics.

Watch Phone with built-in camera

July 13th, 2009 by Ally in Mobile Phones

Phones are just about all the same thing over and over. Yes, the high end phones have some cool features, but it’s the same type feel. Not many really shake things up and make an attempt to really change things up. This watch could never be defined as classy and it’s definitely not going to have as cool of features as your iPhone, but at least it is a little different from the rest.

The very first Lighter Phone

July 19th, 2009 by Ally in Mobile Phones

Although I fully admit to chuckling quite a bit after first seeing this cellphone with a built-in cigarette lighter, I can see some practicality with it. After all, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of my smoking friends losing their lighter. I’ve been asked numerous times if I happen to have a lighter on me, despite that they’re fully aware I don’t smoke. Having a lighter built into your cellphone would come in incredibly handy. After all, your phone is almost always somewhere within reach.

August 1st, 2009 by Edwin in GPS gadgets, Mobile Phones
Eye-Fi is one name that pops into your mind whenever you think about a SD memory card that comes with built-in Wi-Fi functionality, but this time round the folks at Eye-Fi have gone the extra mile by releasing a new variant of their staple product, known as the Eye-Fi Geo. This wireless SD memory card will be made exclusive to Apple, where users are able to upload photos snapped from a digital camera to a computer automatically, while providing lifetime geotagging service so that when you look through those images many years from now, you’ll still be able to know where and when those images were taken instead of relying on an ever diminishing amount of brain cells. The Eye-Fi Geo card was specially built to seamlessly integrate with Mac products and applications, including iPhoto ‘09 and ‘08, the iPhone and MobileMe.

The Tissue Box with a hidden camera

This gadget is yet another reason being a devious teen with tech savvy parents makes life just a bit more difficult. Granted, well behaved teens that never sneak out or attempt to have parties while their parents are away won’t be bothered by such things. However, for those parents that really just don’t trust their [...]
